What is a Public Information Profile? |
| |
A Public Information Profile (PIP) is the most comprehensive, in-depth, detailed summary available of your public records information. MPI assembles all this data into one single, easy-to-read document. When you order a PIP, your report will include over 10 billion records, with new data sources added on a continuing basis. These records include: |

Federal, State and County records |

Financial records like bankruptcies, liens and judgments |

Property ownership records, including one billion acres of satellite and aerial photos |

Government-issued and other licenses |

Law enforcement records for felony and misdemeanor convictions |

UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) records that reveal the availability of assets for attachment or seizure |

Internet sites that reference you |

Personal Details |

Address History from Credit Bureaus |

Who needs a PIP? |
| |
Everyone needs a PIP for: |

Protecting Yourself From Identity Theft: if you are worried about this rapidly-rising crime, and especially if you have already been a victim, you MUST learn what is in your public record. |

Misdemeanor Offenses: anyone who has been convicted of anything, even a minor misdemeanor, needs to check their public records. |

Job Interviews: will potential employers do a background check? Do you want to know what they can learn about you? Do you want to ensure your background information is accurate? |

"Family" Issues: have you been through a difficult divorce or breakup? Does your "ex" or other problem family member have access to your car, your credit cards, your last name? |

Protecting Your Privacy Rights: are you concerned about the "Patriot Act," and how new federal regulations allow the government to collect more and more information about you? |

I have my credit report, do I still need a PIP? |
| |
Yes. Credit reports only give you the information that banks and credit card companies have about you. Examining your credit report can tell you if someone has made unauthorized use of your credit card, or has applied for a credit card in your name. |

Credit reports cannot tell you if someone has rented or purchased property using your name, applied for a government-issued license using your name, has acquired a criminal record using your name, and many other potentially adverse kinds of information. |

In addition, a credit report cannot help you learn about and correct errors in your public information, whether caused by confusion of similar names or deliberate actions of unscrupulous individuals. You need a PIP to do this! |

Can other people get my PIP? |
| |
No. MyPublicInfo uses proprietary technology to identify you, and only you, before releasing any information. Your information cannot be accessed without passing a test that requires intimate knowledge of your personal information. |

This proprietary process requires you to pass two sets of quizzes. |

The first is general information like name, address, phone number and social security number. If this quiz is passed, the MyPublicInfo technology concludes that there is a high likelihood you are who you say you are, and advances you to Phase 2. |

Phase 2 is a 5-question quiz that checks your knowledge of "out of wallet" data. If your wallet is lost or stolen, the possessor could potentially pass Phase 1, but Phase 2 deals with information that only you know. This may include data like residence address in 1982, the amount of your monthly mortgage, your auto insurer or the monthly payment on your student loan. Questions are generated randomly, and the likelihood of an identity thief knowing all the answers is exceptionally low. If you answer all questions correctly, our technology has extremely high confidence that you are who you say you are. This proprietary process assures you of complete confidence in gaining access to your public data. |
